Elias Lyimo is the founder and owner of African Wilderness Adventures. His journey began over 30 years ago as a porter on Mount Kilimanjaro. Back then, the job was much more demanding porters carried loads of 30 to 40 kg without proper shelter, and the glacier at the summit was significantly larger. Driven by ambition, Elias quickly advanced to become a tour guide. Over the decades, his company grew steadily, expanding beyond Kilimanjaro to organize safaris and bicycle tours
for more than 80 clients, all the way to the Indian Ocean.
Elias has worked with his team for many years,significantly improving working conditions in the tourism industry and offering competitive salaries. A legendary figure on Kilimanjaro, he is widely known by the name “Kosovo.”
Rainer Braehler is a German adventurer and a longtime friend of Elias. He works as a tour scout, reviewing and testing all itineraries in advance to assess the quality of the trips and services.
As the primary contact for international clients, Rainer provides valuable information and recommendations to help them plan their dream trip to Tanzania.
